Privacy
This questionnaire is run by Samuele Bolotta, host of the Iron Minds podcast. Here is everything it keeps about you and why.
What is stored
- Your answers to the 18 questions.
- Your name, as you typed it.
- Your email address.
- Your Instagram handle, if you gave one.
- Whether you coach, lift, or both.
- Whether you ticked "Show me in other people's matches".
To limit spam, the server also keeps a hash of your IP address, made with a secret key, next to the time of each submission. The address itself is not stored, and hashes older than one hour are deleted each time someone submits.
Why
Your answers are compared with everyone else's to show you the people who answered most like you. Your name and handle let your matches recognise you. Your email is only used by Samuele to judge who is who, for example before marking someone as a verified Iron Minds guest.
Your email is never shown
No page shows your email to anyone else, and no email is ever sent to you or passed on.
Who can see you
The box "Show me in other people's matches" is unticked unless you tick it. Unticked, you still see your own matches, but you never appear in anyone else's. Ticked, other people can see your name, your Instagram handle (if given) and how similar you are to them, plus your answers next to theirs.
Anonymous aggregate statistics computed from everyone's answers (no names, and published only above minimum counts) appear on the stats page.
Deleting your answers
Open your private link and use "Delete my answers". This erases your whole entry from the database (name, Instagram handle, email and answers), and you disappear from everyone's matches. If you lost the link, write to bolottasamuele@gmail.com and your entry will be erased the same way.
No trackers
There are no analytics, ads, or tracking cookies. The only outside service is Cloudflare Turnstile, the anti-bot check on the last page, which runs only there. Fonts are served from this site. Your browser may keep your private link in its local storage so this device can find your matches again; nothing else is stored on your device by this site.
Your rights
The data controller is Samuele Bolotta (bolottasamuele@gmail.com). Your data is processed on the basis of your consent, given when you submit; you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your entry, which doesn't affect what happened before. Your entry is kept until you delete it or ask for it to be erased; the IP hashes are deleted once they are over an hour old, at the next submission. You can ask to access, correct or erase your data by writing to the address above. Everything is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes it on Samuele's behalf. If you think your data is being mishandled, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
